Nokia Symbian says goodbye as a mark

In a surprise announcement at the end of the year Nokia has made some statements about his future next year, especially in matters pertaining to the arrival of the new version of Symbian, leaving 3 things clear:

  •    Symbian Belle left of the name and will now be known as Nokia belle, abandoned symbian brand itself and focusing on your own picture for the following operating system versions.
  •      Existing equipment or Anna Symbian ^ 3 will ship in China with preinstalled Nokia Belle early next year. Obviously this does not happen in America because here are still sold with Symbian ^ 3 PR1.0.
  •      In February 2012 the users of the Nokia N8 C7 E6 E7 C6 X7-01 and 500 will upgrade to Nokia belle through a software upgrade via OTA or the Nokia Suite.
It should be clarified that the equipment will only receive future updates of current smartphones with Symbian ^ 3 or higher since Nokia abandoned completely any previous version of Symbian on the other hand the update will arrive in February for free equipment, but not for purchased through an operator, which will have to wait several months until the operator accepts the update.

With this Nokia ended the year leaving behind several of the elements that represented their old image, Ovi and Symbian to now focus on its commitment to future Windows Phone, Nokia S40 and services with which it hopes to recover from the slump suffered these last years .
