Nokia has released on the Marketplace of Windows Phone 7 a first beta version of Nokia Maps , the satellite navigation software of Nokia owner. The application however is only available for Nokia smartphones Windows Phone 7 or Lumia Lumia 800 and 710. The application description states: " Provides local walking maps, driving directions and public transport while highlighting cafes and local points of interests over 3G or Wi-Fi networks. Of course, there's a social element to Maps Allowing you to review and share your location as well. Also you can pin your favorite places to the Windows Phone homescreen for quick access in the future. Check the video for a quick rundown of Nokia's Drive and Maps features . "
Nokia Maps for Windows Phone 7 then contains the main features present for some time on the Symbian version, such as sharing the position with social networks, search for points of interest, ... etc. It is likely, however, that the application will be issued for all Windows Phone 7 once out of Beta.
