It updates iFaith: Now you can downgrade from iOS 5

Has released an update for iFaith , exclusive program for Windows created by iH8sn0w (known to have developed excellent tools, such as sn0wbreeze and iDetector).

This handy program that allows you to save the certificate SHSH firmware in use even if not signed by Apple (for example, signing IOS 5.0.0, IOS 5.0.1 When is the last), get to version 1.4 . All the latest news and complete changelog after the image.
Here is the changelog of this new version:

  1.     The program now supports iPhone OS 4.4.x (version for Apple TV 2 nd generation) and iPhone OS 5.0.x.
  2.     The operation of dumping is now much faster.
  3.     Improved support for Windows XP.
  4.     Improvements in code.
  5.     Fixed various problems.

But how do you get back to iPhone OS 5.0.0 (or 4.3.x to IOS)? The process is very simple, let's see how:

  1.     IFaith 1.4 for Windows download by clicking on  this link  which will take you to the official website of the developer.
  2.     Launch the program and press " Dunp SHSH Blobs ".
  3.     Put the device in DFU follow the instructions.
  4.     Once iFaith has detected the presence of the device in DFU will start the automatic saving.
  5.     Now the tool will prompt you to save our certificate on your PC.
  6.     We give the OK.

We finished, and the blob SHSH 'was saved successfully, now we can "build" a signed CFW you can restore through iTunes, let's see how:

  •     Launch the program and press the "Build IPSW * signed * w / Blobs".
  •     Click on "Browse for SHSH Blobs Cache"  and select the blob previously extracted SHSH .
  •     Now we have 2 options:

  1.     If you have the file . ipsw  5.0.0 FW click on "Browse for the iPhone OS 5.0";
  2.     Choose "Download it for me"  and the program will download the appropriate firmware for your iDevice;

  •     Click on "Build IPSW"  and wait for the creation of the  CFW
  • Click on "Proceed"  and follow the instructions to put the device in PwnedDFU.
  •     With the iDevice mode PwnedDFU open  iTunes , press the  Reset  button while holding down  Shift  and select the file. CFW the ipsw you created earlier.

The procedure is not particularly complex as you see, and is available to everyone, so if you want to switch from IOS IOS 5.0.1 to 5.0.0, hoping for a future Untethered Jailbreak these are the procedures to follow.
