From the official forum of the project NITDroid hear news about the status of porting Android 4.0 to Nokia N9, of the Finnish smartphone with MeeGo.
Nokia N9 is able to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in part, thanks to the hard work done by the team NITDroid, guilty of the same developers have already ported Android 2.3 to Nokia N900. The work is progressing as described by-and yes, the founder of the project NITDroid.
At the moment it works:
- dualboot kernel can choose the OS after power.
- 3D drivers, OpenGL
- hardware rotation (only portrait mode, accelerometer HAL does not work)
- touchscreen (multitouch)
- hw buttons (volume, power)
- USB networking
- lcd off in sleep mode
- alarm driver, RTC
It does not work (important but not critical):
- ADB USB driver
- HAL lights
- battery status
- charging (BME; R & D)
- connectivity (3G, wifi, bluetooth)
- audio
- video decoding (HW or SW)
- room
- GPS
- sensors (accelerometer, compass).
- vibration
