Nokia E7 and Nokia C7: available on Navifirm firmware v.111.030.610

Slightly later than has been seen with the Nokia N8 , firmware v 111,030,610 appeared on Navifirm for terminals E7 and C7.

As we reported in the case of N8, is not yet clear what the new features in this new Build Symbian Belle but it is likely that it may be a customized version for some operators. Hardly represent Nokia Fine Refresh , the next major update expected by the first generation of terminals S ^ 3.

We received these screenshots of Belle FP1 from B.Srikanth a couple of days ago. I meant to share them but I was under a lot of work and still have a lot of stories on my to do list to cover.

I just remembered it as Jill tipped that Nok Conv also shared some screenshots, though I think just of Belle homescreens and not FP1 – you can see those in the link or check out B.Srikanth’s in our gallery above.

I would be careful to post about such a story from sources not too familiar with the Nokia scene, but this writer from Forbes is actually All About Symbian (and now AAWP)’s Ewan Spence. I did not know he was writing at Forbes.
Anyway, he says that Nokia must stick to its guns.

Everyone loves a good head to head. Especially when it involves current champions from three different mobile ecosystems, in this case Symbian, Android and Windows Phone. Leaving aside the slightly larger form factor of the One X, how well do these three phones with exemplary build quality compare?

It would have been great to compare the One X against larger screened competition, but the Symbian world maxes out at 4", on the uninspiring X7 and the niche E7, while the Windows Phone world's best contenders are the HTC Titan II and Nokia Lumia 900, both just launched in one market a few days ago - neither are yet available for testing over here. Hence the decision to go with the N8 and Lumia 800 - both match the One X well on build quality and camera, for example.

While not yet been announced,Nokia Maps Suite version 2.0 has grown from a few hours in the stable branch.

The suite of applications that includes Nokia Maps, Nokia and Nokia Drive Public Transport, after many releases made by Beta Labs has in fact been released by Nokia via a downloadable software update or via your computer or directly from your Symbian (Belle).
